There are now two fully equipped Electronics Labs within the School of Engineering at this latest location, housing 20 workstations each with a complete range of LJ Create electronics boards.

As part of his visit the Duke of York visited Xalapa, capital State of Veracruz State, in the company of the Governor of Veracruz, Mr Fidel Herrera, and the British Ambassador to Mexico, Mrs Judith Macgregor.

Organised by BESA (the British Educational Supplier Association), Alarming Events and UKTI; BES Asia 2009, was the third event of its kind and combined British and regional educational expertise and products.

The main aim of the Trade Mission was for 5 British companies to present seminars in order to share their experiences in the use of ICT in Education. All the presentations were made in Spanish.

The vocationally-orientated program is called Valley Academy for Career and Technology Education (VACTE). It operates in five local school districts.
