Virtual Instrument Unit

The VLAB2 Virtual Instrument Unit has been specifically designed to provide the user with a complete set of virtual instruments. These run on the student's PC and provide two virtual multimeters, an oscilloscope and a function generator.

The unit is fully compatible with all computer-based learning materials in the DIGIAC 3000 Electronics and AEP Electronics ranges.

While designed primarily for use with existing DIGIAC 3000 Base Units, Experiment Platforms and circuit boards, the Virtual Instrument Unit may also be used in a wide range of other electronic testing and signal monitoring applications.The unit is designed to sit alongside the Base Unit or Experiment Platform, and is connected to the student's PC via a USB cable.

The Windows-based software supplied with the unit provides the following on-screen, virtual instrumentation:

• Two built-in virtual multimeters
• One built-in virtual oscilloscope
• One built-in virtual function generator
