Capacitor Applications
D3000 9.6X
This study module introduces students to Capacitor Applications and their applications through a wide range of practical activities. Typical topic areas include: Silicon controlled rectifier, capacitor commutation of an SCR circuit, AC applied to an SCR, UJT oscillator, UJT SCR control, troubleshooting an AC phase control circuit, and the triac and diac. Designed for use primarily with the Series 9X Base Unit.
This study module is ideal for use within the DIGIAC modular electronics program. It comprises a circuit board and a set of student lab sheets, housed in a molded plastic storage case. When used in conjunction with a student PC, the labsheets are fully compatible with the ClassAct computer managed learning system. Each lab sheet covers a specific topic area and provides background theory, practical activities and student assesment questions. Each lab sheet is designed around a list of performance objectives. These objectives are used by the ClassAct management system to generate a student competency report.
An instructor's solution book is also included, providing solutions to all of the questions and practical activities contained in the labsheets. The study module is also supported by optional computer aided instruction (CAI) material.
