Electronic Circuits
ST450 ETP
The Electronic Circuits module focuses on practical skills. It allows us to learn how to identify and select a variety of electronic components, as well as assembling, testing and locating faults in electronic circuits.
Breadboard, stripboard and PCB prototyping methods are used for building a series of real world electronic applications. A unique patching board with carrier mounted components and software simulation enable exploration of circuit principles and concepts.
Typical topic areas include:
- Component identification
- Circuit construction on a range of prototyping systems
- Sub-system function, component function and circuit operation
- Reading component symbols and interpreting circuit diagrams
- DC and AC signals
- Analog and digital systems
- Use of test equipment
- Circuit testing and fault finding
