Why can't I see the Kodak camera in PhotoImpact?
Some versions of the Kodak camera software cause a conflict within Windows 2000 and Windows XP. If you cannot see the camera in PhotoImpact, please follow the instructions below.
1. Choose Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs.
Select Kodak EasyShare software, then click Change. In the Setup Wizard, click Modify. In the Custom Setup dialog box, select Kodak camera software, and then click Remove.
2. Run the Installation program again, and when prompted select the Custom Installation option. Use the dropdown box for the Camera Connection Software section to select ’Installed’. Use the dropdown box for all other sections to select ’Not Installed’. Install to the default directory.
3. Print the PDF file. Replace these pages in the student's Digital Photography Equipment Reference Guide (MK967).
The camera, docking station and software are now ready for student use.
