Success in Malaysia
Organised by BESA (the British Educational Supplier Association), Alarming Events and UKTI; BES Asia 2009, was the third event of its kind and combined British and regional educational expertise and products. LJ Create were exhibiting this year, along with their esteemed Malaysian agent, Darultek Instrument SDN BHD, and were displaying their innovative solutions for vocational education, featuring resources for electronics and engineering.
TVET UK, who focus on skills training within the international arena, were instrumental at the event, held a series of round-table sessions across both days, focussing on Vocational Education. LJ Create’s International Sales Manager, Gerardo Flores, was invited to participate in these meetings and lead a number of informative sessions on Innovation in Vocational Education.
Dominic Savage, Director General of BESA, conducted a tour of the exhibition for Lord Davies of Abersoch, UK Minister for Trade, Investment and Business, who also opened day two of the conference. They were also accompanied by the Deputy Director for the Ministry of Education in Malaysia, Dato’ Asariah BT. Mior Shaharuddin.
The tour choose to stop at the LJ Create stand, where Mr Flores, discussed the resources LJ Create has available for Vocational Education and demonstrated some of the innovative technologies incorporated in their learning materials. Mr Flores said "It was a pleasure to be able to show our resources to the delegation, it is vital that these technologies are integrated into this area of education. I am delighted that Lord Davies made reference to this in his address".
The event was a complete success and will take place next year on the 11th and 12th of October 2010 at the Kuala Lumpar Convention Centre.
