Come along to Stand D66 and try out our latest products, including our unique resources for teaching Green Technologies, a new module on hybrid vehicle systems, and a whole range of software for teaching Science.

New Range of Science Resources

Virtual Science Lab

BETT 2012 will witness the unveiling of our new science resources covering Key Stage 3 and 4 Science topics. Designed for GCSE Science, the range also provides an ideal resource for STEM-based learning. It includes a variety of presentations, investigations and simulations. All the software can be accessed online and can be used both in teacher-led presentations and learner-directed activities.

Green Technologies

LJ Create wowed the BETT show last year with working models of green technology, which can be used in the classroom to investigate sustainable energy production and eco-friendly building solutions. This year, our green technology hardware makes a triumphant return to the show, along with a whole range of lesson presentations, self-paced investigations and exciting simulations.

Sustainable Energy Hardware

Sustainable Energy Production helps your students understand energy production methods and the technologies available. The software includes an engaging Energy Generation simulator, in which students attempt to solve energy production issues in different ecological scenarios. The hardware includes:

  • steam turbine
  • solar furnace
  • displacer type Stirling Engine
  • thermo-acoustic type Stirling Engine

ECO Building

The Green Buildings teaching resource is focused on the innovative LJ Create ECO Building, a classroom resource that allows practical investigation of energy in the home. The ECO Building lets learners investigate how energy is consumed and how to reduce the amount of energy a building takes from the grid. Topic areas include:

  • forces on structures
  • green materials for construction
  • heat transfer
  • air conditioning

Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Systems

Visitors to stand D66 can also preview the latest addition to our Motor Vehicle range, Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Systems, currently in the later stages of development. This complete teaching package incorporates curriculum materials, a sophisticated on-screen simulator and a computer-linked panel trainer. The hardware provides a safe alternative to working on "live" vehicles and allows students to undertake realistic service and diagnostics tasks.

Finally, overseas visitors will also be able to see our range of resources available in Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Kazakh, Arabic and Swedish.
