Skills 4 Enterprise

Skills 4 Enterprise provides a comprehensive range of research and extension activities, team projects and business simulations that address the following
areas: business overview, employability skills, sales & marketing, and finance.

There are two modes of business simulation, practice and competition. Practice mode is used during the underpinning knowledge work. In competition mode the system assesses entrepreneurial skills in: fulfilling demand, making the necessary profit, and maintaining market share.

The simulations have been designed to allow teams to run a business, with the students making all the decisions on marketing, production and sales strategies.

On-screen instructions provide them with guidance on how to devise a business and marketing strategy. By making monthly decisions, a team configures their business in an attempt to gain market share against computer simulated competitors and generate an operating profit.

The on-line lessons feature a high level of interactivity, student progress tracking and assessment. Multimedia explorers provide students with a valuable insight into the world of work and help them place their school work into context. In the process they will apply the knowledge they have gained.
