Network Technology
ST680
The Network Technology module focuses on networks for the home and small-to-medium sized businesses. The 20-hours of study provides a broad knowledge base sufficient to select, configure, and operate common wired and wireless network components. Several scenarios are described and the student examines various techniques and conducts research to improve network usability, performance, and security.
Alongside the theory, the student is provided with activities in which to practice the manual skills required to make and test network cabling using industry-standard components and tools that are provided with the module.
