PIC 3000 Microcontroller Study Module

This electronics training resource connects into the Experiment Platform, and introduces students to PIC Microcontrollers and their applications through a wide range of programming activities. It includes a circuit board, a re-programmable PIC device, and assembly language program development software. It includes the following on-board devices:

  • DC motor fan, thermistor, lamp/heater and Hall-effect speed sensor for open loop and closed loop temperature and motor speed control processes
  • Simple A/D and D/A converters for use with 18-pin PIC devices
  • On-board telephone style numeric keypad
  • Eight LEDs for logic monitoring
  • Eight slide switches for use as logic inputs
  • Three 7-segment LED displays
  • Piezo sounder
  • Two push-button switches
  • Potentiometer
  • 2mm sockets for all port and peripheral connections
  • Breadboard area for student project work
