This resource packages a range of test equipment neatly into one small unit that interfaces with a PC and allows for the test equipment to be used onscreen. Putting an oscilloscope, 2 multimeters, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, frequency counter and a data logger into one unit greatly reduces the space required for the equivalent traditional test equipment.

The onscreen applications mimic the traditional equipment and allow the user to copy the screens showing measured values and waveforms. This is great for evidence gathering, as scope patterns and scope setups can be pasted directly into documents.

VLAB2 includes the following features:

• Two built-in virtual multimeters, each providing:
  • Fully-separate meters with floating inputs.
  • 2mm socket connections.
  • Digital or Analogue meter display.
  • Auto or Manual range selection.
  • AC and DC measurements.
  • Voltage ranges 60V, 20V, 2V, 200mV.

  • Continuity range with audible buzzer.

  • Two channels at up to 20MHz sampling rate.
  • >1MHz -3dB input bandwidth.
  • 1MΩ // 30pF input impedance.
  • BNC sockets for standard x1/x10 probes.
  • DC, AC or GND input coupling.
  • Voltage ranges 5mV/div to 20V/div.
  • Invert and 1+2 modes.
  • Timebase ranges 0.5μs/div to 1s/div.
  • Timebase Off and X-Y display modes.
  • Rollover mode on slow ranges

• A virtual data logger providing:
  • Logging capability for multimeters and oscilloscope.
