Why does my ClassAct management system mimic screen keep adding new workstations?

There are two reasons why a new icon is created on the mimic screen.

1. ClassAct sees the machine as a brand new station. This is due to the fact that the identifier of the station in the LJLNCH.INI file is set to “0”. This is set by default when the Launcher is first loaded. There are typically 2 reasons why a station is seen as new. A fresh install of the launcher on a new machine or a re-image of a machine and the image was taken before the stations identifier was set. 
2. ClassAct sees a station try and login that has the same identifier as a station that is already logged in. There can not be two stations with the same identifier. This typically happens if an image is created after the station has been named. Then they use this image to be sent down to another station.

Please note: You must have complete administrative rights with all security software turned off to properly setup a new network with ClassAct. If not then the changes to the INI files at the student stations will not be saved correctly
