Recommended Computer Specifications
This page contains information about the recommended computer specification for a computer that is intended to run LJ Create software.
The majority of software titles supplied by LJ Create are designed to operation on a Windows PC, but some packages have been designed to work on an Apple Mac. Please assume that all software that is not specifically listed as an Mac product is a Windows PC product.
Our software is supported in line with the Microsoft and other software providers' lifecycle polices. Contact LJ Create if you have any questions.
Windows PC Workstation
A computer capable of running one of the following versions of Windows:
- Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 3)
- Windows Vista Professional *
- Windows 7 Professional *
* If you intend to use a 64-bit operating system, please contact LJ Create immediately for further information.
A minimum of the following hardware is recommended:
- 1GB of memory
- 20GB of free hard disk space
- DVD Drive
- 17" Monitor with a resolution of at least 1024x768 pixels
- 16-bit (or higher) graphics card
- Keyboard and mouse (or equivalent pointing device)
- Sound card with speakers or headset
- At least one free USB port
- Internet Access
Each workstation on the network supporting LJ Create software should have access to a printer.
Some modules also require internet access.
Apple Mac Workstation
Some of LJ Create's products are designed to work on an Apple Macintosh. All Mac compatible products are marked on the applicable product pages. Please assume that any software not specifically stated as Mac compatible is a Windows PC application.
We recommend that you use the latest Mac OS, but our resources should run on a computer running the following operating system.
- Apple Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or later
A minimum of the following hardware is recommended:

- 20GB of free hard disk space
- DVD Drive
- 17" Monitor with a resolution of at least 1024x768 pixels
- 16-bit (or higher) graphics card
- Keyboard and mouse (or equivalent pointing device)

Product Specific Requirements
Some products will require workstations with additional features. These requirements are listed below:
- ST210 - Digital Sound Module
A CD Rewriter (CD/RW) is required.
- Older items of LJ hardware requiring a parallel port connection:
USB-parallel adapters are available to allow this hardware to be connected to a computer USB port. Please contact LJ Create for more information. - Microsoft .NET Framework 4 is required for the ClassAct SRS (Wireless Student Response System) and for locally installed SciTek content.
